There is no denying that most people love sweets. In fact, we like to eat sugary foods with tea and make a lot of sugar in part of the body every day. But this habit can lead to fatty liver and diseases such as type 2 diabetes. This was disclosed in a recent medical study conducted in Switzerland.
Research from the University of Zurich and the Zurich University Hospital examined the extent to which high sugar intake affects body weight and a result of the chance of that disease increases. Eating too much sugar or sweets can lead to obesity and bloating, and both increase the risk of many diseases, including diabetes.
The findings show that daily consumption of moderate amounts of sugar also leads to an increase in fat in the liver and this process of fat formation continues on a long-term basis. The study involved 94 healthy young people who were given a sweet drink made from different types of sugar daily for 7 weeks.
On the other hand, a control group was also part of the study which was not given this drink. Volunteers did not consume extra calories during the study as a whole, but the drink increased the feeling of fullness and reduced the desire to get calories from other sources.
Research has shown that the use of sweets doubles the process of fat formation in the liver and this process lasts for 12 hours. Researchers are surprised to learn that this is the most commonly used sugar.
