The company shows a monkey playing a video game using his mind. In this regard, a video was posted by ‘Neuralink’ on YouTube in which a monkey named ‘Pager’ was shown playing a video game.
The video states that the game pedals are being controlled by the monkey’s mind, he just moves his hand up or down and brings to mind the idea of movement and this monkey is really the best in mind pong.
Neurallink’s device was mounted on both sides of the Pager’s brain to monitor neural activity, then the monkey played the game for a few minutes with a Joystick so that the software could understand the signals associated with hand movements.
A few minutes later, the ‘Decoder’ program understood the hand signals, after which the Pager no longer needed a joystick to play the game. Elon Musk later wrote in a tweet that “a monkey is literally playing a video game with a brain chip”.

According to the company, our first goal is to give people with disabilities back their digital freedom. The technology aims to help people with brain and spinal cord injuries or congenital defects control their phones or computers with their minds.

The company was founded in 2017 and in 2019 it claimed that a monkey was able to control a computer with its brain during experiments.
The device is based on more than 3,000 electrodes that are attached to thinner strands than human hair and can monitor 1,000 brain neurons. The company has also developed a neurosurgical robot that it says can insert 192 electrodes into the brain every minute.
