Corona’s third wave continues, 954 deaths in a week in Pakistan

Web Desk. The third wave of the global coronavirus is continuing in Pakistan and authorities are taking steps to stop its spread. Meanwhile, 954 patients have died in the country in the past week after contracting the deadly virus.

According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the death toll from Corona rose to 113 in the past 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, 45,275 corona tests were conducted in Pakistan, of which 4,414 were positive. Thus, the rate of positive cases remained around ten percent.

According to the NCOC, the number of deaths due to coronavirus in the country has exceeded 18,000. Army personnel are present in Pakistan’s major cities to assist the civil administration and are working with the police in major cities to enforce Corona’s SOPs.

Hundreds of cases were registered yesterday in various cities for violating precautionary measures and measures taken to control Covid-19, while several businesses were shut down.

Due to fears of the spread of Corona, a ban on I’tikaf has been announced during Ramadan in mosques run by the endowment department in Punjab province.

On the other hand, a vaccination campaign is also underway in Pakistan. Authorities have extended the vaccination period for health workers by one month. Preparations are complete to register Khwera salt, as a ‘Pink Rock Salt’ in International trade bodies
