Covid-19: 290 million vaccine doses were administered in the United States

Web Desk. The United States, the country most affected by corona, is currently the most vaccinated against corona. The total number of corona cases reported in the United States as of May 26, 2021, was more than 33.1 million and the number of deaths there had reached more than 590,000.

Although there has been a significant decline in Corona cases in the United States over the past few months, new cases are still emerging.

While there has been a significant reduction in corona cases in the United States, about half of the population has received one dose of the vaccine, while 35 percent of the population has received two doses.

A total of about 290 million vaccine doses have been administered across the United States, according to the US Department of Health’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The US government has received more than 359 million doses from various companies, of which more than 287.7 million doses have been applied.

There were 131,078,608 people in the United States who had been given both doses, while more than 164.3 million people had been given one dose.

According to CNN, as of May 26, half of the adult population in 25 of the 50 US states had been vaccinated against corona.

According to the report, including Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and the capital Washington D.C half of the adult population in a total of 25 states had been vaccinated with both doses.

More than half of the adult population in these states has been given a single dose, and immunization for minors will begin soon. The report states that at least four US states, including Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maine, have had their populations vaccinated. Minors have also been vaccinated in these states.

US President Joe Biden recently said the government plans to vaccinate the entire population by July this year, and efforts have been stepped up.

The United States is currently the first country with the largest population to be vaccinated, but half of the population of a few sparsely populated countries has been vaccinated with a single dose.

The government has also made some concessions after more people were vaccinated in the United States, freeing people from wearing face masks at all times, but also recommending social distance, including the use of face masks when in crowds.
