According to Reuters, although the Australian states allowed New Zealanders to travel free of quarantine late last year, New Zealand imposed isolation restrictions on travelers arriving from neighboring countries due to the spread of the epidemic.
Alan Joyce, head of Australian airline Qantas, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). “This is the first time in 400 days that people are traveling quarantine-free and we have started 16 flights a day to return to New Zealand”.
