Spain: Large gang of fake license makers was caught

Web Desk. According to AP, Police in northeastern Catalonia says they have arrested 300 people in Spain on Tuesday for allegedly involved in large-scale driving license forgery.

According to the Police statement, the 10 detainees are suspected of being part of the criminal ring. The rest of the groups had minor roles like intermediaries or were buyers of fake licenses.

Police investigators identified 1,845 drivers who had paid €4,000 to €10,000, (around $4,845-, 12,113) for a fake license they were using to drive.

In the separate statement, the Spanish court said police conducted 14 raids on properties, mostly in the northeastern city of Girona and nearby. A raid was also carried out in the northern Basque Country area.
